Our Story
Peter and Debbie Galway moved to Donegal from Spain, bringing with them their rescued family of dogs and cats.
Peter, originally from Cork, trained as a plumber and worked in both Ireland and England before moving to Spain. Debbie, from Nottinghamshire, worked as a dental hygienist and instructor, and also taught English as a foreign language.
After searching across Ireland for the right place to call home, they discovered Blue Moon in the welcoming village of Dunkineely, County Donegal.
What was once the Blue Moon Hostel and Camping has since been carefully refurbished into comfortable, modern self-catering accommodation, while still retaining its character and charm.
Today, Peter and Debbie are proud to share this beautiful part of Ireland with their guests — offering a warm welcome and a relaxing base to explore everything Donegal has to offer.
