Things to do

Our village of Dunkineely has three traditional pubs, often with music and fiddle weekends. There is a grocery shop, a butcher, a hairdresser, a barber and a beauty salon. For eateries, head to Killybegs or Donegal Town. The village pubs do not do food. Or cook your own in the holiday homes

We are not far from St. John's Point, with its Coral Beach, Lighthouse and a world-renowned dive site. Take a short stroll or drive through the village to Bunlacky Shore, have a picnic and enjoy the sights of Donegal Bay.

Blue Moon Self-Catering accommodation is located on the Wild Atlantic Way and is a fabulous base for exploring Southwest Donegal. With the Secret Waterfall at Largy and the highest sea cliffs in Europe, Sliabh Liag. A visit to Glencolmcille Folk Village is a must.

Donegal boasts stunning scenery and numerous beaches. Available boat trips from Teelin Pier or Killybegs, hiking, horse riding, fishing and swimming, to name a few of the things you might like to try. â€‹

Blue Moon is 7 km from Killybegs, the main Irish fishing port, where you can find many shops, cafés and restaurants or look at the boats in the port. Or Donegal Town, 18 km away, also has many places to eat, drink and shop.

Donegal has a wealth of historical sites to visit and it's scenery is outstandingly beautiful. Not to mention the people, who are the friendliest of folk.
